Sara Urquhart - Founder, Director
Alt Summit began as a cool, part-time idea and has morphed into a full-time, ever-changing, fabulous brand. Sara is an organizer of chaos. Sara is the managing director of Alt and works directly with all the brands. She has a Master's Degree in emergency management. Sara is married to her awesome husband and has four fabulous teenagers.
Gabrielle Blair - Co-Founder, Content Producer, Art Director
Gabrielle Blair can be found daily at DesignMom.com, her design+lifestyle blog that was honored as a Website of the Year by Time Magazine. Gabrielle is also a founder of Alt Summit. Before her internet career, Gabrielle was a graphic designer and art director in NYC. Currently, she's living in the French countryside with her husband Ben Blair, and their six kids: Ralph, Maude, Olive, Oscar, Betty and Flora June.
Kate Schoening - Logistics Manager
Kate Schoening is an Alt partner and helps execute all the details of Alt Summit. Kate has been planning events for over 20 years and has organized fabulous parties for as few as 10 guests to trade shows and expos of 30,000 people.
Melanie Blodgett - Copywriter, Executive Assistant
Melanie Blodgett is happy to be part of the Alt team for a third year in a row. She writes daily at her blog You Are My Fave - a mix of parties, projects and fave finds. You can also find her work frequently on Babble, Disney Baby and Julep. She currently resides in Denver with her husband Ryan and their jolly baby boy, Beck.
Jenny Batt - Alt Channel Director
Jenny Batt is a mom of two boys, the editor of Hank + Hunt, tutorial maven, content provider, decorations designer and director of the Alt Channel. Since officially starting production of DIYs in January 2011, she has been seen on iVillage, Apartment Therapy, Real Simple, The Crafts Dept., Better Homes and Gardens, Babble, Mollie Makes, Buzzfeed and Good Housekeeping.
Kersey Campbell - Assistant Blog Manager
Kersey Campbell is stoked to be a member of the Alt team! She writes daily on her blog Ardor where she creates fun and simple DIYs and shares snippets of life with her husband Preston and their son Elliott as well as the things they love. Kersey’s craftiness has been featured on sites like Babble, Apartment Therapy and Modern Parents Messy Kids to name a few.
