We have major news! We’re delighted to announce a new Alt Summit event: Alt SLC Summer!
That’s right. Alt SLC 2014 happened in January, and a second Salt Lake City conference will be held June 17-20, 2014. We can’t wait! This happy news is a decision based on the wise feedback we’ve received from you, the amazing Alt Community. You said it and we heard you: More events like SLC! We love breakout sessions! More time to meet and mingle! Don’t grow SLC too big! More time with sponsors! We love welcome dinners! And the feedback we hear most often: I wish Alt Summit was more accessible — the tickets to the January event sell out so quick!
Again, we heard you and we’ve got a plan. Like you, we don’t want to increase the number of attendees for the January event because it seems to be the perfect size — big enough to meet new people and get inspired, and small enough that if you want to interact with speakers like Garance Doré or Ben Silbermann, you can.
After thinking long and hard, we had a lightbulb moment: Why not hold the big flagship Alt Summit event twice a year?!!! Boom. Then Alt Summit would instantly be available to twice as many people. Attendees could go to Alt Summit in the winter, or in the summer. The summer event would mirror the winter one — same location, same number of attendees, inspiring panels, top notch keynote speakers, quality sponsors, dinners and parties — and attendees can wear sandals instead of boots!
So we’re making it happen. The first ever Alt SLC Summer will take place from June 17 – 20, 2014. Tickets will go on sale March 3rd at 11 AM PT/2 PM ET, for the early bird price of $500 each. (If there are still tickets available on March 10, the price increases to $625. so grab your tickets early.) As you know, ticket availability for Alt events is limited so be sure to make a note on your calendar. It’s going to be good!
At this point, you probably have some questions (What about Alt NYC? Will there be a January event in 2015? Will the speakers for the June event be identical to the January conference?) and happily, we have answers. Go here to find the FAQs.
