Hey Los Angeles, we’ve got a design camp headed your way! And we couldn’t be more excited about it. Tracey Clark of Shutter Sisters is heading up this two day, intense crash course in all things photography. It will include topics such as seeing and using available light, effective framing and creative composition, exploration of subject matter, getting the most from the equipment you’ve got, curating your own work, storytelling, brand building and magic making. You will leave this design camp with skills that can be put to use immediately, and content that can be shared right away.
Tracey is the founder of the collaborative photo blog Shutter Sisters, where women with a passion for photography are celebrated. She teaches a number of creative photography classes at Big Picture Classes, co-authors the column Point of Focus at DP Mag, and is the author of Elevate the Everyday: A Photographic Guide to Picturing Motherhood. Although she’s got 20 years of professional photography under her belt she considers herself an everyday photographer, not only because she shoots every day but because her favorite subject matter is often found in the everyday-ordinary.
Interested? Of course you are, it’s going to be amazing! The course will be taking place on May 21–22, 2014 and tickets are available, right here. Your photos will be ever improved!
And if you’re not in the Los Angeles area but are in need of a similar course, April’s Alt on Topic is for you. Five classes, all devoted to photography, all online. Sign up right here.
Don’t forget, you only have until next Monday to submit your speaker pitch for Alt SLC June. Get on it!
