Growing up parents and teachers drilled into us the necessity of saying thank you when someone did something nice for us or gave us something we wanted. What we may have overlooked in our automatic response was why gratitude was important.
No one attains success alone. No matter what you do, someone has either directly or indirectly helped you. With today’s busy lifestyles, we rarely pause to think about how we have been helped or even acknowledge those who have helped us. Gratitude or the giving of thanks is reserved for one month a year with 30 Days of Thanksgiving or a single day.
