Have a couple of days before or after Alt Summit in Salt Lake City? Here are five not-to-be-missed only-in-Utah places you’ll want to visit.
Temple Square.
This classic Utah tourist spot is just a short (free!) train ride away from the Grand America and has a lot of great photo spots.
Wheeler Historic Farm.
There are a lot of barns and rustic buildings at this farm-turned-public-park and the open spaces are rarely crowded.
This is the Place Heritage Park.
If you’re looking for a more historic peek at Utah, this pioneer village has a lot of charm. It’s a little muddy in the winter and some of the park’s features are closed (like the barn and the train) but it’s still a fun place to walk around.
Sundance Film Festival in Park City.
The Sundance Film Festival has events all over Salt Lake, but the big events are up in Park City near historic Main Street so if you’re hoping to catch a glimpse of celebrities that’s where you need to go. It gets crowded up there so be sure to take advantage of the shuttle system!
Bonneville Salt Flats.
This photo spot is a huge time commitment because it’s located a couple of hours away near the border of Utah and Nevada but it’s one of the most unique natural features you’ll ever see.
