Over the next five weeks, we will be hosting an Instagram contest each week! Every week we’ll announce the contest and its particular rules on Instagram, so make sure you’re following us (@AltSummit). You won’t want to miss any of the details.
Each weekly contest will have different entry requirements as well as different starts and durations, but the first place prize each week will be the same – two tickets to Alt Summer, one for you and one you can share with friend!
Prizes: One first prize winner will receive two tickets to Alt Summer, June 9-12, 2015 in Salt Lake City. One for themselves and one for their tagged friend. Tickets are valid for Alt Summer 2015 and are transferrable. Once registered, standard transfer fees apply. Five second prize US-based winners will receive a goodie box filled with surprises from our archives and another box for their tagged friend (ten boxes total each week)! We love our sponsors and our maker community and we can’t wait to share gifts from past events with you.
How to enter this week’s contest:
- Upload a photo of you and your friend you want to introduce to Alt (BFF, sister, mother, spouse, partner, daughter, etc.) or a photo highlighting what you like best about Alt Summit. Photos must be original content and must be shared before Thursday, February 12th, 2015 at 5PM PST.
- Tag @AltSummit and your friend (who does not yet follow Alt on Instagram). Include both #AltSummer and #AltWithaFriend.
- Tell your friend about the contest and let them know they need to follow @AltSummit on Instagram.
- Your friend needs to follow @AltSummit on Instagram by Thursday, February 12th, 2015 at 5PM PST.
Remember for you to win, both you and your friend must participate.
Winners will be announced on Instagram as well as on the Contests page of our website. Remember that to be entered to win a prize, you or your friend has to be new to Alt’s Instagram feed.

The fine print.
1. One member of each winning pair must be new to Alt’s Instagram feed. They can not be following Alt on Instagram (@AltSummit) prior to the contest.
2. Second prize winners must be US-based; goodie boxes will not be shipped internationally.
3. This contest is not sponsored, endorsed, or administrated by Instagram, Inc. By entering, entrants confirm they are 18+, release Instagram of responsibility, and agree to Instagram terms of use.
4. Winners will be randomly chosen from the photos tagged with #AltSummer and #AltWithaFriend hashtags during the contest period.
5. This week’s contest opens Tuesday, February 10th, 2015 and closes Thursday, February 12th, 2015 at 5PM PST.
6. Winners will be notified via the winning Instagram photo.
7. For the first prize photo, both the winner and the tagged friend will receive tickets.
8. For the five second prize photos, both the winner and the tagged friend, if US-based, will receive goodie boxes.
9. For all prizes, the winner will have 48 hours to contact Alt Summit via email claim their prize. If, after 48 hours, Alt Summit hasn’t been contacted, the prize will be forfeited.
