If you can’t tell, we love mini parties around here. In this article, Sara shares how they came to be and why they became such a hit. Basically, it boils down to the fact that bloggers love to get together and celebrate the creativity of one another.
This year was no exception. The time, effort, and genius that went into each party was breathtaking!
Six out of the nine rooms were created by bloggers and sponsored by Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores. (Miss the recap of the other three rooms? Click here to see those mini-parties.) Each room had one or two elements that brought the entire evening together.
Bubble Bath Bash
Jessica of Oh So Antsy, Mandy from Fabric Paper Glue, and Nic of The Roc Shop created a whimsical bubble bath experience by filling the entire room with balloons, bath salts, and white conversation couches. Guests relaxed and mingled in this tranquil room.
Pop Alt
Audrey from French Knot Studios, Izzy of Izzy Hudgins Photography, Troy of Simply Troy, and Jess of From Rain To Shine covered the room with custom draping made from fabric purchased at Jo-Ann Fabric And Craft Stores and created a photo booth backdrop that made everyone pop for Alt!
Flannel Disco
Beck of Present Blog, Krissy of Boston Pollen, and Lauren of Lauren Wells Events created an entire dance floor out of fabric, made disco balls into flower pots, entertained with DIY head pieces, and danced the night away.
Guests danced the night away in front of a photo booth backdrop decorated with disco balls, flowers, and flannel brought everyone together for some laughs.
Cactus Makes Perfect
Andrea of Legal Miss Sunshine, Charity of I Heart Cleveland, and Kim of Design + Life + Kids brought a bright, cheerful, and collaborative element to the evening.
Guests entered an interactive room filled with bright cactus themed pillows, paintings, pinatas, and crafts. They left with well wishes for collaborations that really stick.
Live in Colour
The girls from Little Peanut Magazine created the most beautiful watercolor-themed party. Guests were overwhelmed by color–color splashed across florals, geodes, and geometric shapes. And given painting supplies to get creative and color their world from top to bottom. Watercolor paintings decorated a photo back drop and dip died curtains covered the walls proving splashes of color that coincided with sophistication.
Band Together
Pretty Prudent and the gang reminded everyone how it feels to have an entire group rally around in support. They created the ultimate photo booth with instruments, marching band uniforms, and batons to take home. Guests laughed wildly while crafting inspirational felt banners.
We cannot thank Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores enough for the opportunity to showcase each team in such different ways! Sponsor partnerships like this really elevate the entire Alt Summit experience.
