Here at Alt we love hearing success stories of creatives who came to our conference and left with a business partner, mentor, or solid tribe. These relationships can make the biggest difference in a career path and skyrocket potential, outreach, and exposure.
Here are three examples of the magic that happens at Alt.
Alma Loveland and Melanie Burk of Caravan Shoppe met at Alt four years ago and have been inseparable ever since. They have worked on more projects than they can count and continue to play off each other’s strengths to improve, create, and innovate.
Before Pinterest was a well known hobby to basically everyone, Ben Silbermann came to Alt looking to partner with bloggers who were just as excited about “collecting” things as he was. Joy Cho of Oh Joy was the perfect fit and began pinning right away. She now has over 13 million followers and growing daily.
Watch Ben’s keynote address from Alt Winter 2014 for more insight into how he got his start. And then hop over to Joy’s keynote address from Alt Summer 2014.
And just recently Amber Kemp-Gerstel of Damask Love cashed in on a really fantastic partnership with Cricut after getting to know them at Alt Winter 2014. She attended the Cricut Event right before Alt, participated in the contest they held after Alt, and showcased her amazing crafting skills that landed her the title of Cricut Design Space Star. Congratulations Amber, we are thrilled with your success!
