When you take pleasure in what you do, it will show in your work. And when you’re passionate about what you’re doing or what you want to do, it will attract others to you.
Just consider how Emily Meyer of Tea Collection, one of our Alt Summer 2015 speakers, met her business partner:
“I met Leigh Rawdon at a party – our husbands were friends from business school – and we began chatting about work and life. She was passionate about starting her own business someday. Then eventually I told her my idea for a brand. Her eyes lit up and she said, “Tell me more.” Leigh believed in my idea—and I soon learned that she had the skills and experience to turn my concept into an actual business.” Read the rest of their story here.
Want to attract collaborators? Try finding projects that make you happy and building content around them. You’ll naturally be excited about what you’re working on and that excitement will be contagious—others will want to work with you.
Join the Alt community on Twitter Wednesday morning (tomorrow) June 24 at 9 AM PST/12 PM EST for an hour-long chat about partnerships. We will be talking about how you identify your strengths, showcase your strengths for potential partners, and more.
