After announcing coLAB at Alt Summer 2015, around 180 bloggers from Latina Bloggers Connect, Alt Summit, and Blogalicious have been busy working, planning, and putting together collaboration projects. The idea was to make introductions and see what happened next. And boy have we been impressed!
Some groups naturally fizzled out never making plans, some groups didn’t feel their partner fit into an idea that was already formed, and others adapted, brainstormed, and thrived in this space. The hope is that each and every person who signed up was able to learn and grow from the experience. For those who didn’t post, perhaps next time they will be more proactive, flexible, or communicate more effectively. For those who did post, perhaps they were able to gain a deeper understanding of what a successful collaboration looks like and how it can such a beneficial relationship. And of course, we were able to learn a few things ourselves. There were naturally bumps in the road and unexpected elements that weren’t anticipated, but overall we felt this was such a worthwhile endeavor and would love to bring it back. So keep your eyes on the newsletter for more information on how you can get involved in the next round.
Until then, let’s give a huge congratulations to our randomly selected winners for their active participation and fantastic projects!
Teri of Mommy Wife & Life along with Melanie of Que Means What?
“We created the #FamilyTimeNow Project to promote quality family time. Families often become so busy with daily routines and the hustle and bustle, that they forget to stop and dedicate quality time together. In our first post about the project, we asked our readers to share pictures and videos that showed how they spend time with their family. Participants tagged their Instagram posts with #FamilyTimeNow and shared their links with Melanie and I on our blogs. ” – read the full recap post here.
Tina and Brooke of Designers Collective and Mandi of Chewsy Lovers
Invited both their communities to “Join us for a 30 day challenge to fall in love with your kitchen again. With our design ideas, tips, inspirations, and cooking hacks, you will create your own ‘Happy Kitchen’. By the end of the month we hope your kitchen will become the most favorite room in your house!” Check up and follow along with their project starting with this post.
Congratulations to all our participants! We will liking to and posting about all the projects over the next few weeks.
