You work hard. So why shouldn’t you be excited about what you do? And why shouldn’t others share that excitement?
Effortless reveals don’t just happen. They take practice and planning (just like successful photo shoots!). A great idea. Impeccable execution. Gorgeous images.
While we can agree we want to share what we’re doing as we’re working on it, timing isn’t always on our side. We start crafting Halloween decorations in the summer to have our projects ready for sharing in late August and early September. Then we’re onto the next thing. It’s easy to forget (and still be excited) about a project we completed months prior. So how do we tease out the details as if we’re still working on it?
Join #AltChat on Twitter this Wednesday September 23 at 9AM PDT / 12PM EDT / 4PM GMT as we talk about how you can get your community excited about projects you’re working on. We’ll figure out when’s the right time to start your reveal and whether we’re pre-shooting and sharing later or shooting and sharing live as we go.
Seven Steps for Sharing What You Do
- Start with why and share your dream.
- Create and practice your elevator pitch.
- Build a memorable site.
- Get organized online.
- Add visual interest with photo shoots.
- Craft a stand out social media presence.
- Promote your work.
