Salt Lake City, New York City, and San Francisco have all hosted Alt Summit events throughout the years. And it is time to add another city to that list! We are excited to announce that after January’s conference, we will be moving our flagship event from Salt Lake City to someplace new!
Alt Summit started in Salt Lake City, and our flagship conference has remained there for 7 years. So this is a big deal change for us. Honestly, we are getting emotional thinking about saying goodbye to SLC and the Grand America hotel. And we are feeling lucky we get one more chance to party there in January!
After January, where will the next Alt Summit be? We are definitely excited to tell you, but you will have to wait till January to find out. We will make a big announcement at the conference and share the news all over the internet. Here are two hints: The state will be different and the time zone will different. But never fear — the spirit, the camaraderie and the magic of Alt will remain the same.
If you have always dreamed of attending Alt Summit in Salt Lake City at the Grand America, January is your last chance to go! You can guarantee we are going to do this conference up to the max — we want to give a proper goodbye to the Grand!
Changes for Alt Summer 2016
Also! We have more fun surprises in store for 2016 and beyond. But one thing we can tell you is that we will not be hosting a full summer conference. We are nixing Alt Summer 2016 and trying something new instead. So if you had penciled in Alt Summer on your calendar, go ahead and scratch that.
That is another big change. We know. We originally started Alt Summer because the January conference could not meet the demand for tickets, and it worked! Having a full winter conference and full summer conference has meant that so many more people were able to experience Alt Summit.
The trick for Alt has always been how to include as many people as we can while still maintaining an intimate atmosphere: where attendees and speakers and sponsors can easily interact. We have some ideas on how we can do this even better, which means we are moving our attention from Alt Summer and looking in a new direction. We think you’ll like it!
We’re Making Space
Those are two BIG changes for Alt Summit. Our last time in Salt Lake City, plus saying goodbye to Alt Summer. We don’t mean to put you into shock! : )
So we made a plan. We know some of you were planning to attend Alt Summer 2016, and we know there are others that will want one last chance to attend Alt Summit at the Grand America in SLC.
To accommodate everyone who might want to attend this so-long Salt Lake City, we have good news! We’ve opened another block of tickets to January’s conference. Hooray!! If you want to come, now is your chance. But there aren’t a ton, so be sure to register soon, because when they’re gone, they’re gone!
And a quick reminder: If you already have your Alt Winter ticket, please remember to reserve your hotel room now.
