Whether you’re an influencer or a growing into a brand, people you want to partner with are looking for and value professionalism, kindness and respect. Best business practices always apply, even when your live primarily online. This includes attention to writing and grammar, polite interactions, a positive tone and respectful requests.

Five basic tips for how to be professional whether you’re an influencer or growing into a brand.
Keep phone appointments, and be punctual. Both brands and influencers will take note of being stood up on a phone call.
Respect other people’s time and create expectations of how long a call will last and what will be accomplished.
Never underestimate the power of a quick email or text that says, “I’m stuck in a meeting. I’ll call in 15 minutes.” Both brands and bloggers will understand when you’re running behind as long as you let them know.
Choose to be flexible, and, at all costs, avoid being flighty.
