Can you believe in 15 days we will be at Alt Winter in SLC? We are working hard on the last-minute details and can’t wait to greet you in Salt Lake City. We know you are excited too, and today we thought we’d build on that excitement as we announce more of our Keynote Speakers!
Lunch Keynote
Lunch on Thursday will be an entrepreneurial feast! As we finish our meals, three powerhouse entrepreneurs will take the main stage for an info-filled presentation and Q&A. Here are the women who will have you thinking about your business potential in a BIG way:
Sara Domville is the President of F+W, a content and ecommerce company. She is a media executive with a track record of leading a multi-media content company in connecting likeminded groups of enthusiasts to share ongoing exchanges of information, ideas, and inspiration. F+W serves seventeen vertical communities including fine art, craft, woodworking, writing, genealogy, antiques and collectibles, design, outdoors, and Digital Book World. The Company’s portfolio includes 50+ magazines, 30+ special interest publications, 650 new books released annually, a 4,350 title backlist, and more than 4000 eBooks.
Rachel Faucett is the author-designer of well loved family blog Handmade Charlotte. She is the mother of 5 ridiculously cute children and loves everyone she meets. Her mini collection for Anthropologie was a stepping stone for projects with Target, Home Depot, Energizer, Subaru, Pottery Barn Kids, Levi’s, Disney, and more. Handmade Charlotte has been featured in Martha Stewart, HGTV, Huffington Post, Business Insider, Country Living, and Molly Makes.
Jane Mosbacher Morris is the CEO and founder of TO THE MARKET, a socially-inspired business that promotes goods made by and stories told by survivors of abuse, conflict, and disease. TO THE MARKET works to economically empower survivors in over 25 countries through artisan enterprise and is rapidly expanding its survivor network, as well as its retail partnerships. TO THE MARKET has been featured on platforms including Glamour, People StyleWatch, Fox and Friends, and Elle.
Closing Keynote
Elle Luna will close the conference on Friday afternoon with a major dose of career inspiration for everyone in attendance. Elle is a designer, painter, writer and the author. She also runs a textile venture called the Bulan Project, which is a collaboration between designers and master batik artists in Bali. Elle has worked as a designer at IDEO and with teams on apps and websites, including Medium, Mailbox’s iPhone app, and Uber. Elle lives in San Francisco and online at elleluna.com.
Clearly, she’s a very talented woman, but the main reason we begged Elle Luna to come and speak at Alt Summit, is because of her life changing book: The Crossroads of Should and Must. Have you ever asked yourself the question “How can I find and follow my true calling?” That moment is what Elle calls the “should and must crossroads”. “Should” is what we feel we ought to be doing, or what is expected of us. “Must” is the thing we dream of doing, our heart’s desire.
This closing keynote is sure to be the kick in the pants we all need from time to time to get ourselves moving forward in a direction we’re excited about. It is a don’t miss!
