Twelve conferences ago, Alt Summit started with two concrete goals: 1) We wanted to bring together the wide-ranging community of social media bloggers, creatives and entrepreneurs, so we could spend some real-life-in-person time together; to bond and to learn from each other. And 2) We wanted to connect attendees with the very best companies and brands, so that brilliant partnerships could form, and ideal growth opportunities could flourish.
Those two goals are still at the forefront as we plan the upcoming conference, and we’re happy to tell you that as far as Goal #2 is concerned? This is going to be our best conference ever:
Alt Summit is delighted (we mean really, totally, over-the-moon delighted!) to welcome Waverly Inspirations as a Premier Sponsor.
To create the Waverly Inspirations line, designers dug deep through 90 rich years of Waverly archives. Then they took the best of what they found and updated it for today.
Whether you’re a beginner, or an experienced sewer or crafter, Waverly Inspirations has something for everyone. It’s made for the customer that is suddenly inspired and wants to get making right away. Someone who’s ready to transform a bag or chair or room or gift into something extraordinary.
We know you know that feeling — it’s amazing what you can do with some gorgeous fabric, paint and a little ingenuity. With accessible and affordable options, from fabric to craft paint and home décor, Waverly Inspirations is ready to help with your any of your creating and decorating needs.
CALLING ALL MAKERS!
Here’s what to watch for: Waverly Inspirations is excited to celebrate its Makers Welcomeprogram at this year’s conference. They will be casting the next “Makers Ambassador”! Stay tuned to @InAWaverlyWorld for more details and look forward to connecting with them at Alt!
ALT CHATTER
Some things are just meant to go together; peanut butter and jelly, scratch and sniff, Wonder Woman and her invisible jet, brands and blogs. As Brittany Watson Jepsen of The House That Lars Built says, “sponsorships are my main form of revenue for my company . . . I value the relationships I have with these brands.”
Collaborations succeed when they are of value for everyone involved. “My goal is to make it beneficial for the sponsor, the reader, and make content we are proud of. Beyond that, I love partnering with brands because increased revenue means we can make new DIYs or hire a new employee or carry new products in the Oh Happy Day Party Shop,” says Jordan Ferney.
When you’ve found the right brand to partner with magic happens. Caroline Drake of Armelle describes the process this way, “My favorite thing about working with sponsors is hitting the publish button on a post where I have been able to take a product and tell a story with it through photography styling, and words, and share with my readers how their product has benefited my life . . . I love working with sponsors that fit my lifestyle, companies that I know and love and already use their products.”
AND THE WINNER IS . . .
Thank you so much for voting in last week’s newsletter. A classic and always delicious, it’s no surprise that this crowd prefers chocolate cupcakes! Second place goes to the every popular vanilla. Lemon came in third, but red velvet was a close fourth. Now, who’s craving cupcakes?
