We hear over and over from Alt Summit attendees how amazing and motivating it is to be around women who understand what it’s like to balance a career and family, who cheer on your decision to leave a stagnant job for more creative pursuits, who can give you hope through their stories of success, and who ask “How can we help each other?” instead of “What can you do for me?”
At Alt Summit you might find your next business partner, or maybe your future tribe. For sure you will leave feeling empowered and encouraged – magic happens when so many creative minds get together in one place. Here are some examples of Alt Summit attendees working together in wonderful ways.
Merrilee Liddiard and Kiley Draper met each other at Alt Summit and a mutual admiration and respect for each other’s work grew. Realizing their aesthetic was perfectly complementary, an amazing partnership (photographed above, launching this month!) was the result. Classic pinafores and the sweetest dolls, it’s pure magic.
Have you listed to the podcast The LifeBeats Project? Brianna Johnson launched after being inspired at Alt Summit and 72 episodes later is pretty much killing it in the self-help podcast category. Through the ongoing relationships she’s formed at Alt Summit, she’s been able to interview Alt Alums like Alison of The Alison Show, Courtney of Cents of Style, Cyndi of The Collective {of Us}, Stasia of Stasis’s Style School, Kelly of Cloudy Day Gray, Natashia of Canary Jane, and Susan of Freshly Picked.
At this point, Nicole Breanne of Bot Communications, is an expert collaborator. She’s worked with Gilit from The Bannerie on her online course, made an appearance on two podcasts (Tiffany’s Raise Your Hand Say Yes! and Brianna’s The LifeBeats Project), and is currently collaborating with Dawn of Lorax Girl on t-shirts for her new venture Kind is Strong. And guess what? She met all her fellow collaborators at Alt Summit!
You also need to meet Brooke, Paige, Tina and Mithra. After connecting at Alt Summit a few years ago, they formed a monthly Skype group where they keep each other accountable, inspired, and encouraged. Dialing in from all over the world, they assist each other with the struggles that come from being a creative woman online. We love when like-minded women find each other and offer help and support!
Ready to meet other creatives looking for partnerships? Simpatico women, who are excited to talk shop for hours on end? Join us at Alt Summit February 26-28, 2018 to find all of that and more.
Mark your calendars, tickets go on sale June 21st!
Love,
The Alt Summit Team
