SUMMER TIME PROJECTS
Typical scenes of summer include long hours spent at the pool or beach, racing to eat melting ice cream cones before they turn into a puddle, dreamy road trips on empty stretches of highway, laying in the grass, under a tree, reading a book for hours. But for our community, summer often means new projects, daily creative sessions, growing a business, and taking risks. We rounded up a list of five women who are inspiring us this summer to do more!
Angie Chua, creator of the adorable Bobo Design Studio, is bringing her bohemian inspired goodies to downtown San Jose. If you’re local, be sure and check out the storefront, plus craft based workshops taught by Angie happening all summer long.
The awe inspiring Laurie Smithwick is at it again with another 100 day project. This one involves asphalt, streets in Durham, NC, and block printing. The evolution of the project is fascinating and may motivate you to start your own 100 day project.
Amanda Stewart is taking the next step with her darling unisex kids clothes brand Mochi Kids, by launching a kickstarter campaign. Amanda started screen printing shirts for her kids in her home three years ago, and is now taking a big leap to grow her brand.
Do you ever create a Summer Bucket List? Surabhi Agrawal worked with her girls to come up with a list that includes some adorably sweet and simple ideas, as well as more ambitious outings. It’s a perfectly balanced list of easy and involved projects.

Check out her and her husband’s Monday Marketing Facebook videos. They are chock full of practical, no-BS advice, gathered from years of experience with a diverse group of clients.
