If you’ve never experienced Alt Summit before, the thought of 2000+ powerhouse women in one place might be just a tad overwhelming. While we could rave about our community all day, this is what attendees (new and veteran) had to say about being in the midst of such a group:
“Alt Summit — or as my Palm Springs Uber driver called it, ‘the powerful women conference’ — was a magical week of the women working TOGETHER to learn, relate, understand, fuel their dreams, get ideas, network and realize that we are all human behind these accounts, trying our best to support others and live a more creative, joy-filled life. It didn’t matter what you did or what your following was — it was just remarkable people spreading light and goodness.” – Alysha Smith
“I’m headed home from Alt Dummit and I want to tell you EVERYTHING. You’re possibly expecting me to tell you about fancy dinners, bougie hotels, pool side beverages and rubbing elbows with big wigs of companies. And yes there was some of that. BUT this week was a week of reflection, and relationship building. With myself, with my business, and with powerhouse women who are JUST LIKE YOU.” – Tara Brooke
“So much happened this week, but I will say there was so much REAL black girl magic at Alt Summit, baby, when i said we came to SLAAAAAAY. It felt so good not being the only one. It felt good being noticed, recognized and celebrated for my talent and my truth.” – Tamera Darden
“Alt Summit was truly a magical space void of judgement and negativity, and overflowing with pure sisterhood, overwhelming support, and inspiring spirits.” – Danielle Nagel
“Alt Summit is the best place to meet new people that ‘get it’ in terms of living a life beyond the norm, running a business, and creative thinking. It was so cool to be in the presence of so many women that are ambitious, intelligent and creative. I just need more of this in my daily life!” – Kelly Mann
“Because of Alt, my life changed in 2012, and continues to change each year I attend. I’ve left a 20-year PR career to pursue design and open a small business. I’ve gained confidence to help grow that business. I’ve learned that I’m never going to be a social media mogul/global influencer and that that’s ok, because I want to know and serve my own community really, really well. But mostly, it’s these people. These people are everything.” – Paige Lewin
