We see you scrolling – scrolling through the Alt Summit app and deciding what sessions you want to attend. If this is your first Alt, here’s an overview of what those sessions look like:
Panels – For a chance to learn from several experts at once, attend a Panel Session. Panels are a smart way to get an overview of a topic, and see how different people with different points of view approach the subject.
Solo Talks – These are curated, thoroughly-prepared, stand-alone talks, delivered by a professional speaker, typically accompanied with slides, in a 20 minute time frame. In solo TED-style sessions, you’ll get a quick-but-deep-dive into several fascinating topics.
Workshops – You’ll find practical and helpful hands-on Workshops at the Saguaro and the Ace (and there are a few sprinkled in at the Riviera too). It’s your chance to get in on the action and walk away with a new, useable skills that will upgrade the way you create content, and how you grow your business.
Demos – Arts and Crafts Demos are taught by your favorite designers, crafters, and influencers. Take some time to sit at the communal crafting tables, work with your hands, and make something beautiful.
Roundtables – If you’d like a smaller group learning opportunity, you’ll love our Roundtables. With 75+ roundtable topics, it’s an opportunity to cover niche topics and under-the-radar issues. During roundtable sessions, you’ll have a chance to spend 30 minutes at three different tables.
Expert Desks – For one-on-one interaction, try our Expert Desks. Picture an expert sitting at a desk with a sign showing the particular topic they focus on. Then picture yourself getting to ask the expert questions. It’s essentially access to complimentary consulting, and it’s a huge value.
Keynotes – You’ll find world-class speakers and celebrities at Keynote Sessions throughout the week. Some keynote presentations end with Q&A from the audience — and several are followed by book-signings or meet & greet sessions where you can connect with the keynote speakers.
Just a reminder, ALL sessions are first come first served. When you click the (+) next to a session in the app, it’s a great way to remind yourself which classes you’re most interested in. BUT clicking the plus sign does NOT reserve you a spot. There are no pre-signups for sessions. But don’t fret too much, most sessions will have plenty of space.
